Roof tiles being cleaned and moss removed on a house in Luton

What's included

A full roof clean, start to finish.

Every roof is checked before we start. If we spot cracked tiles or loose ridge mortar, we tell you first — we never clean over a problem.

  • Roof inspection Tiles, ridges and flashing checked so you know the condition of your roof before any work begins.
  • Careful moss removal Thick moss is lifted by hand and brush — never blasted off with a high-pressure lance.
  • Low-pressure soft wash A cleaning solution applied gently to kill algae and lichen right down to the root.
  • Protective treatment A biocide finish keeps working for weeks after we leave, so the roof carries on looking better.
  • Gutter clear-out Moss that drops into the gutters is cleared and downpipes checked before we pack up.

Why our method

Cleaner Roofs Without the Risk

A jet wash makes a roof look clean for a few months. A soft wash and treatment deal with the cause.

Kind to your tiles

High pressure strips the surface of tiles and can force water under them. We only ever use low pressure.

Kills it at the root

Treating the spores, not just the surface, means moss takes far longer to come back.

Safe for your garden

Borders are protected and rinsed down, and the treatment is safe for pets once it has dried.

Honest advice

We'll tell you how long the treatment should last on your roof and when it's worth booking again.

Roof cleaning FAQs

Your Questions, Answered

High pressure wears away the protective surface of roof tiles, can crack older ones and pushes water up under the tiles. It also leaves the moss spores behind, so growth returns quickly. A soft wash and treatment cleans the roof and deals with the cause.

Thick moss is gone on the day. The treatment then keeps working over the following weeks, and any remaining staining fades as the weather washes it away.

Eventually all roofs pick up new spores, but a treated roof stays clear for much longer than one that has only been scraped or jet washed.

No. As long as we can get to the outside of the property, you don't need to be in. Just ask and we can send you photos of the finished roof.

Yes. We cover delicate plants, rinse borders down when we finish and ask that pets stay indoors while we work. Once the roof has dried, they're fine to go back out.

We clean most concrete, clay and slate roofs. If a roof is in poor condition, we'll tell you honestly before quoting — sometimes a repair needs to come first.
